Patagonia’s Artifishal, the Fight to Save Wild Salmon
to Be Screened at January Get Together of
Merrymeeting Bay Trout Unlimited

BRUNSWICK, ME, January 2023 – A documentary film about people, rivers, and the fight for
the future of wild fish and the environment that supports them will highlight 2023’s first monthly
meeting of Brunswick’s Merrymeeting Bay chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Artifishal, the Fight to Save Wild Salmon was produced by Patagonia and explores wild
salmon’s slide toward extinction, threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms, and the
continued loss of faith in nature.  A discussion will follow the showing.
Members and the public are invited to attend the Merrymeeting Bay monthly meeting of this
national cold-water conservation organization as we gather sportspeople and conservationists
on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Joshua’s Restaurant, 123 Maine Street, Brunswick. Social
hour begins at 6:00 pm, the film starts at 7:00 pm. The event is free; dinner and drinks can be
purchased.
MMBTU meetings are held at Joshua’s on the third Tuesday of each month, September through
May. February’s meeting will spotlight MMBTU member Mike Greene on Maine’s native trout
and salmon.

No admission fee. Open to members and non-members alike.
