Fishing Northern Maine: Mid-Winter Dreaming of Spring

BRUNSWICK, ME, January 2026 – – Chase away the winter blues by joining a Maine guide for a presentation about fishing in Maine’s north woods at the January get-together of theMerrymeeting Bay chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Members and the public are invited to attend the Merrymeeting Bay monthly meeting of this national cold-water conservation organization as we gather sportspeople and conservationists on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Sea Dog Brewing, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham.

Social hour begins at 6:00 pm, the presentation starts at 7:00 pm. The event is free; dinner and drinks can be purchased.

The January meeting will feature Casey Mowers of Reddog Guide Service.  Casey will talk about fishing the Mattawamkeag and Meduxnekeag rivers in northern Maine.

MMBTU monthly membership meetings are held at Sea Dog on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May.

No admission fee.  Open to members and non-members alike.
