BRUNSWICK, ME, February 2026 – – A first-ever Garage Sale for all things fly fishing – rods, reels, flies, fly-tying gear, and much more – will be held at the February get-together of the Merrymeeting Bay chapter of Trout Unlimited.
Members and the public are invited to attend the Merrymeeting Bay monthly meeting of this national cold-water conservation organization as we gather sportspeople and conservationists on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Sea Dog Brewing, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham.
Four estate collections from Maine fishers will be available for view and purchase – haggling encouraged – at this special event. Items include: fly-tying materials of every description; fly rods, reels, lines, and boxes; fresh and salt water lures and flies. Come prepared to share stories, enjoy fellowship, and find a bargain to restock for spring fishing season. Cash and credit cards accepted. All monies raised will go directly to MMBTU’s community-focused conservation and education efforts.
The Fly Fishing & Fly-Tying Garage Sale begins at 4:30 pm; social hour and dinner start at 6:00 pm. The event is free; dinner and drinks can be purchased.
MMBTU monthly membership meetings are held at Sea Dog on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May.
No admission fee. Open to members and non-members alike.
